Salewa, a renowned brand in the outdoor sports industry, has recently leveraged My AR Studio to create augmented reality (AR) versions of their large-scale technical tents. These products, which are often difficult to showcase in traditional settings, can now be virtually explored by customers through a simple QR code, making it easier to visualize the equipment in a real-world context without the need to install any additional apps.

The Challenge

For Salewa, one of the key challenges has been finding effective ways to present their large-scale technical tents to potential customers. The project, created by Lucas Preti from Coral Climb productions, who has been a strong believer in My AR Studio from the start, brought a cutting-edge solution to Salewa's presentation challenges. By creating augmented reality models of their large tents, Salewa enables customers to explore these products in detail, directly from their smartphones. By simply scanning a QR code, customers can access the virtual model of the tent, allowing them to view it in their own environment without the need for a dedicated app.

In this initial phase, Salewa also utilized the product selector feature offered by My AR Studio. This tool allows customers to view the tents in various configurations, helping them understand the different setup options and features available. This functionality provides a highly accessible and engaging way for customers to interact with the product, making it easier for them to select the configuration that best meets their needs.

Looking Forward

Salewa is excited about the potential of augmented reality and plans to expand this technology to other products in their range.
